New music - Kel ft Lami SUPER WOMAN

A few days ago we posted a single ‘Shayo and Move’ by Kel which is an upbeat club banging tune on a Samklef production. Now Kel slows the tempo a little on us with the second single from her yet-to-be-titled forthcoming album. The song ‘Super Woman’ features the soulful Lami on the hook and produced by Sleekamo. Muri Thunder ft 2baba

Fuji Maestro Muri Thunder a.k.a. Mr Music, never fails when it comes to music delivery and up-notch production. Mr Music- Muri Thunder features legendary Tuface and Habeyano in a project he calls Cosmopolitan Fuji. The Song itself is titled KasaKasa. The amazing part of this song is the blend of the Fuji of Mr Music with the Hiphop style of Tuface and dancehall style of Habeyano. In all these great guys have been able to deliver a real party rocker.

Omowunmi new music I GO GO

So is there any doubt about Omawumi being in the top 3 RnB singers in Naija? It’s subject to debate, but it’ll be a hard one to go against. Check out her brand new track, titled “I Go Go.” Lovely tune, and has this slow groove vibe to it. Kinda like that slow reggae that you slow dance to.
You gotta admire the power in Omawumi’s voice box. Straight up solid.

EME prepares to introduce African urban music to music-lovers and theatres worldwide with their 2011 Empire World Order Tour,
starting June 24th 2011 in the United States.
May 17, 2011 – Nigeria-based record label,  Empire Mate$ Entertainment (better known as EME), has announced its itinerary for the first leg of their highly anticipated  2011 Empire World Order Tour. A label  known for its quality, innovation, and trendsetting format, EME will kick off its world tour on June 24th in the  United States at  Lincoln Theatre, located in Washington DC. The headlining roster  includes award-winning  songwriter and multi-platinum R&B superstar Banky W, the multi-talented phenomenon that is WizKid, and the  revered rapper known as Skales. The first track “Bunie Ya Enu” which in igbo means “Life Him/Her Up” pretty much reminds us of our classic Naija Gospel praise & worship tune. Pretty hype tune.
Forever is classic P-Square… Another jam for wedding paroles. These guys just know how to get it right.

Back scene of iceprince's SUPERSTAR video shoot

The Choc Boyz were in the UK a few weeks ago, and in that trip the video for IcePrince’s Super Star was shot. Gotta love the fact that the video is already being worked on immediately after the single was released. Check out the pics from the shoot. The video was shot & directed by Katung Aduwak.

New - Davido ft Naeto C

Check out Davido, an upcoming artistes who has been proving himself on features. Here is his new single “Back When” ft Naeto C, and if I can say so myself it’s pretty impressive.
Born in Atlanta, Georgia (U.S.A), but brought up in Lagos, Nigeria, Davido has been producing music since the tender age of 13. After a few self-taught lessons in various studios, he began to explore the depths of music while in high-school as a member of a minor music group. Keeping his eyes firmly on the ball, Davido began lending his talents to many up and coming artists based in Nigeria including Dammy Krane, NPZ and more, truly defining the Afropop and Afrobeat sounds.
Being armed with such talent, today Davido is endorsed by the likes of African music kings D’banj and Don Jazzy, as well as new superstars Wizkid and Ice Prince.
