2Face, Fally Ipupa & J-Martins To Headline MTV Live Concert

African mega stars Fally Ipupa, 2FACE and J. Martins are billed to be the main acts as MTV debuts with its maiden edition of MTV Live a new live music night that will be taking over Africa in 2011.
The first edition of this series will kick off on April 1st, 2011 at Tribeca where congolese superstar Fally Ipupa will give his first full live set performance in Nigeria. 2Face, will be on hand at the MTV Live to showcase his trademark blend of reggae, R&B and traditional African musical influences that has made him Nigeria’s favourite contemporary musician.
MTV Live will also witness an on-stage reunion between J. Martins and Fally Ipupa as they reprise their 2010 collaboration on the remix of Martins’ hit Jupa Remix.
DJ Humility & DJ Jimmy Jatt will be on the 1s & 2s at the event along with DJ Caise

A few weeks ago we mentioned that the MTV Live series was set to kick off with Fally Ipupa, Tuface & J-Martins. On April 1st, the series officially got on the road, and help mobilize the Choose or Lose Campaign.
Fans mingled with the stars, rocking along all night to lavish live beats and tunes from three of Africa’s greatest talents – J Martins, Fally Ipupa and 2face Idibia – as well as mad mixes from the iconic DJ Jimmy Jatt and Rhythm 93.7′s DJ Humility.
Along with the performers the event also featured celebrities from all over including Ikechukwu, Don Jazzy, Wande Coal, Mo’ Cheddah, Goldie and Jaywon, Dokta Frabz, Wale Tinubu, Olisa Adibua,  Waje, K switch, Bolanle Okhiria (Winner of Koko Mansion), and Kenny St Brown.

Bracket release new single

Bracket has probably the most recognized songs of the past 2 years, with Yori Yori. That single catapulted these young guys into super stardom. Your groove no complete without, Yori Yori. Terry g birthday

When Gabriel Amanyi a.k.a Terry G visited the SOS children village in Isolo, Lagos on 17th March, 2011, it was far from a celebrity stunt, the ‘Free Madness’ singer’s visit was to celebrate his birthday with the SOS children.
Terry G and his friends one of which include Uti the Big Brother Africa winner met with the social official in-charge at the village
who showed everybody round the village: to the children’s hostels, classrooms and the likes. The children who were so elated to see the role model pay them a visit did not stop chanting his songs, especially ‘Testing Microphone’ a song from his recent album.
Accompanied by his mum who Terry G happens to share the same birthday date with, Terry G was proven to have a large heart as he donated to the kids’ food stuffs, biscuits, snacks, drinks and others, all in large quantities. Speaking on why he chose to celebrate his birthday at the orphanage, The House of Ginjah boss said ‘God has been good to me and my family in the last one year, this is just my own way of showing appreciation to him. Also I love children and it gives me joy to do things that makes them happy, so it is not just the children who are thrilled to have me around, I am also thrilled to come to their midst and celebrate my birthday with them’.
Terry G is no doubt a famous artiste but who would have thought his fan base extends to children. His exit from the SOS village was a
sight to behold as the children came all around him holding his hands and kept waving as his car drove out of the village. For Terry G, this is of course a birthday like no other.

Finally, the video is here. The song has been buzzing all thru the past couple of months, and the video is stellar. This is only the 3rd video ever from MI, and in many ways it might not be such a bad thing to be selective with the visual material you put out. Great work from the director Jonathan Jason Clarke.
